·        The ideas in this scheme are starting blocks and can be extended or shortened to fit individual criteria 

·        The ideas may be used to provide different or other learning outcomes not listed here 

·        Children do not necessarily have to have previous skills, however, they do build on skills learned throughout the year, and school 

·        The units can be differentiated by varying the expectations of the outcomes 

·        Units can be linked with other subjects eg. Reception, Autumn Term, A/B links with Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) where children learn about respecting differences and similarities between people 

·        Where not included units may be extended to use digital media e.g. Photography, computers
