E) Sculpture

Unit Covers:

·          Craft, 3D, individual work in line, colour, shape, texture, form, sculpture

Purpose:

·          Investigate ideas

·          To mould and create simple shapes.

·          Develop language to describe structures.

·          Review work

Task:

·          Face wall hangings.

Activity:

1)       Draw very simple picture of someone in their family’s face.

2)       Flatten clay and use picture as template to cut around.

3)       Fold top over a piece of string to create a sort of purse-shape.            

4)       Leave to dry and paint ( white undercoat, then face tone) 

·          Make a display with wall hangings.

Assessment:

·          Visual and tactile elements.

·          Language development.
