B) Drawing and Painting

Unit Covers:

·          Art, Design, 2D, individual work, line, colour, shape, space, drawing, painting

Purpose:

·          Investigate ideas.

·          Looking at work of artists and relating to own work.

·          Develop and practice skills.

Task:

·          Paint a picture with buildings.

Activity:

1.        Look at pictures of L.S. Lowry and discuss.

2.        Paint a picture with overlapping buildings using different colours for each building.

3.        Bring together to form class display

Assessment:

·          Have they covered all the paper rather than just top and bottom?

·          Buildings and their purposes.

·          Features of buildings – material and doorways.

·          Visual e.g. photographs, picture, painting.

·          Design e.g. plan, outline, layout and arrangement.
