E Sculpture

Unit Covers:

·      Craft, design, 3D, collaborative work, shape, form, space, sculpture.

Purpose:

·      Design and create planned sculptures from a single and combined media

Task:

·     In a group create a 3D sculpture of free-standing letters that when grouped together in sculpture spell out a word.

Activity:

1.   Discussion of task and appropriate materials.

2.   Design word and think of appropriate materials - could choose bundles of sticks tied together, wire, boxes (cut and decorated), newspaper, clay.

3.   Make sculpture.

Assessment:

·     Are letters modelled clearly?
